Welcome to Day 3 of the Launch Party for my new Mix’d Media Inx CHOX!
There are 8 colors in this product release: Driftwood (tan), Sparrow (brown), Butternut (gold), Petals (pink), Sage (green),Bluejay (blue), Pomegranate (burgundy), & Midnight (black). And just like the Mix'd Media Inx, the containers have a flexible base (for a comfygrip) and a clear lid with a lip that lets you stack the pads.
You can also get the re-inkers in all 8 colors.
These new CHOX are fast drying, have LOADS of vibrant color, are great for stamping, edge distressing, coloring, and can be used in layers for blending colors (watch the technique video for day 1). To give you an idea of how much pigment is in these inks, you can actually mix the re-inkers with a matte acrylic medium to use instead of or with acrylic paint!
Come back each day from Nov 27th - Nov 29th for projects, ideas, technique videos and PRIZES!
Today, Clearsnap has more projects from their DT on their blog
I've got the pics of the prizes that we are giving away on this blog each day of the party below:
Each day of our party we will have TWO winners! Each prize will be a Mix'd Media Inx Chox pad and the matching re-inker. To be entered into our random drawings, leave a comment and add your name to the inlinkz on the post for each day of our party! The winners will be announced during the first week of December.
And here is my project:
This is the layout I made for the DTs circle scrapbook and this one is for Mandy. The picture of her hubby and daughter made me want to get all pink and frilly with this layout.
I stamped the cardboard background with Petals CHOX and the watercolor paper with Driftwood CHOX using the same stamp, called Bouquet.
This is another view of the stamped background and a close up of the journaling.
I made the paper flowers using Carnation Creation and Rose Creation dies. I inked the flowers as well as the cardboard swirls with Driftwood and Petals (I'm finding that I use these two colors of CHOX together a LOT) then I inked the leaves with Sage. You can also see a little bit of the Pralines & Cream Smooch Spritz that I added to the cardboard background in this picture. The Cardboard swirls are one of my new products from Want2Scrap.
The pennants are die cut from various Botanique papers using Spellbinders dies. The cardboard polaroid frame and the banner were also created using Spellbinder dies.
This is a nice side view to show you all the chunky layers.

Love the page! It is quite gorgeous!
Really enjoyed the video you made because each one explains a little more about these CHOX! I do the same thing with the Distrezz it all, in that I ink then distress, then ink again. Otherwise the ink doesn't look as smooth on the flat surfaces. Enjoying the hops each day!
