We've been trying out lots of different stuff during Tuesday Tutorials. Sometimes I make tags or flowers and give them away as the prizes, sometimes I make a project and Tasha gives away product, and sometimes we do a mix of the two. This last Tuesday I "tried" to make an 8x10 layout in 30 minutes... HAH! Of course I didn't actually finish but I did get more of it finished than I thought I would. Below are the pictures of the layout that I finished off camera.
If you want to see the video of my creative process you can check it out HERE.
Polaroid frames made with my Spellbinders "Snapshot" die set & Classic Squares Large
Title made with my Spellbinders "Donna's Alphas" die set
Cardboard "Hand Drawn Swirls" from Want2Scrap
Flowers made with my Spellbinders "Bitty Blossoms" die set
On a side note... I used to make 12x12 layouts but I've found it so much easier to work in a smaller format so I've started making my layouts in 8x10. I mentioned that this layout was 8x10 on the show and people were asking why (because it isn't a standard size). I make them this size so that my SUPER CHUNKY layouts will fit into the 8.5x11 page protectors without squishing them.
Here is what I used:
GCD Studios: "Elegant" from Botanique, The Crafty Chronicle, Mix'd Media Stax (Manilla paper for flowers) & Cabochons
Spellbinders: "Bitty Blossoms", "Donna's Alphas", "Snapshot", "Carnation Creations"
Clearsnap/Colorbox: "Mix'd Media Inx", "Smooch Spritz", "Fairydust Glitter", Glue Gloss
Zutter: "Distrezz-it-All", "Corrugated Board" (top layer of cardboard used for Polaroid frames)
Want2Scrap: Cardboard "Hand Drawn Swirls", "BYOB", ribbon rose
Miscellaneous: white acrylic paint, lace, vintage Dymo labeler
