It has been wonderfully rainy in Southern California and rainy days are perfect for creating in my studio... So I've had LOADS of Inky-Painty-Playtime while getting ready for my 30-in-30 e-Class event in June. AND... You know what they say about April showers... it brings May Flowers! So, this month my DT and I will be sharing LOTS of flowery goodness and we've even got some BONUS Flower Tuts from the team that Tasha will be posting for ya! My team RAWKS it when it comes to handmade flowers!!!
I'm kicking the month off with my Desktop Inspiration project... my flowers are more of the "inky" persuasion this time around. You will see LOTS of artsy fartsy projects like this during my 30-in-30 event and the supply lists for each project will be going up daily all month in May.

The quote is from my Crafty Chronicle Vol3 and it says "Be so happy that when others look at you they become happy too" The background is made with Canvas Board from Zutter and I painted it with Smooch Spritz.
The Canvas Board is edged with denim piping and the ruffle is made with The Crafty Chronicle and fringed crepe paper. The stamp is one of my older ones called "Tablecloth". I stamped the image with Jasmine Mix'd Media Inx and embossed with the Jasmine powder as well. After I finished the canvas board I adhered it to an inexpensive Michael's wooden frame that I painted blue then whitewashed.
The words were made with my Girlie Grunge Labels dies and papers from my Mix'd Media Stax using a letterpress technique. The butterfly was made with my Wonderful Wings dies.
