The Crafty Chronicle:
A few Words from Donna about The Crafty Chronicle... "16 - 9x12 pages of mixed media goodness in this paper!
I designed this product with my paper flower techniques in mind but this paper is much MORE than just a craft product! A ton of thought and care went into creating this product; There is a real word search, New Scrappy Horoscopes, A Dear Scrappy column, funny fake ads, a TON of “Compatible” images that can work with my new dies and there are quotes at the top and bottom of each page which are great for mixed media projects, cards, etc... This product takes the most time for me to create but it is a labor of love! I hope you enjoy it!!!"
Mix'd Media Stax:
4 different mediums:
*Kraft Labels
*thin Kraft paper
*Manilla paper
*Watercolor paper
The pad is 8x10 so it fits PERFECTLY on the Spellbinder's Grand Calibur die cutting plates and all of these papers look amazing when embossed with the Spellbinder dies.
The papers in the Stax are ideal for die cutting, stamping, inking, painting, scrapbooking, cardmaking, ATC cards and of course... Mixed Media projects.

When I first saw this fun collection of Donna's called Storybook, I immediately loved the sheet of eclectic images called Storybook Cards. From cute glittery fairies to army men and space motif's, there are images for all fun loving kids at heart.
I have an assortment of photos of my son Ryan. He is 12, has autism and is the love of our lives. He is sometimes a mystery to us and our life with him can be quite the adventure at times, so the space theme was just perfect.
I decided to use this cute collection to make a really fun mini album documenting some of my favorite photos of him.
For the base of the album, I decided to distress and edge some corrugated cardboard.
For the inside pages, I took a sheet of 12x12 cardstock, folded it in half, then folded in half again to make a 3 in square.
Run the cardboard and the pages through your bind it all to make holes so you will be able to bind the book together later on.
Next, I cut the large star out of one of the Storybook papers. I added some burlap ribbon adhered with a fabric brad and added the star with pop dot adhesive to the cover.
Take the sheet, and cut out some more of the fun images to add to the pages and decorate your book.

Hi everyone, Audrey here, with a layout I made recently for CHA featuring both of Donna Salazar's new collections, Botanique and Storybook. I've also got a few ideas to share for creating your own custom accents and embellishments using basic supplies like patterned paper and stamps.
With all the fabulous images in Donna's papers and coordinating stamps, you don't need much else to create beautiful projects. Here I simply added a bit of cardstock, lace, and a few gems to make this lovely page of my two favorite sweetie-pie girls.
I started with a base of dark brown cardstock and pretty patterned papers. I tucked in some strips of kraft cardstock that I punched with a scalloped border punch, and then added a block of watercolor paper from the new Mix'd Media Stax. If you look closely, you'll notice I gave the watercolor paper a custom look with a combination of Branch stamped images from Donna's Art Gone Wild collection of rubber stamps and Smooch Spritz.
To get a gradation of color on my stamped images, I did some second, third, and even fourth stamping. The bottom right corner received the darkest images, while the top left corner got the lighter images. As the color fades with each stamping, you create a sense of depth and dimension, like a field full of flowers fading into the background. I also created more custom embellishments with Donna's stamps for this page, like a border of Cotton Lace down the left side, and the gorgeous hanging Chandelier at the top.
Other key page elements came directly from the patterned papers. That stunning photo frame is one such feature. I fussy cut the frame and then layered it on some kraft cardstock. A bit of machine stitching adds further definition to the design. The gorgeous title work also came from my favorite sheet of Botanique paper.
The butterflies are more elements cuts from Donna's Spring in Bloom Artistic Paper and colored with Candleglow Smooch Spritz. I layered them on die cut canvas butterflies and bent their wings up for instant depth and dimension. A few added gems and a journaling strip complete my page, and I love how it turned out. Creating my own embellishments using just patterned paper and stamps is one of my favorite ways to dress up my layouts, and better yet, it's budget-friendly, too! And who doesn't love that? __________________________________________

Oh don't you feel it in the air? The birds... the bees... all that red, all those hearts... or maybe its just an overrated Hallmark holiday. Whatever your belief is... its that time of year to express to our little extra loves how we are feeling!
Hi. Its Kim here with a lovable little Valentine card to share.
Donna's newest line Botanique from GCD is a new love of my life. Here I used a sampling of these gorgeous papers. THey all layer so well! I edged the cardstock with Mix'd Media Inx .
This butterfly is cut from her artistic paper and used her Fanciful Flight dies from Spellbinders. I added some pennant stickers with sentiments on them and a old fashioned piece of lace for texture contrast.
This paper line has lots of wonderful support from the cooresponging die cuts, they match the Mix'd Media Inx colors as well as blend so naturally with paper of different textures etc.
Here is a close up of the card so you can see the distinction and uniqueness of each part.

Peace,
Kimo
