Hi there, it´s Monika here again. Today I´m going to show you a couple of different fabric flowers that are really easy to make. They are all basically made with same technique.
The first flower is made from my dd:s old jeans. You will need two cut out two circles, one a bit smaller than the other.
Now that you got two circles, you will need to cut small v-shaped cuts al the way around them, towards the middle like this.
Once you finished that, it´s time for the fun part. Mist them in your favorite color of Donna Salazars Smooch Sprotz. I used the color Holly Berries and Cashmere.
After you have misted the fabric, before they dry, crumple them like this to ad dimension to them.
Next thing you will need is a small peace of fabric, about 1,5”x1,5”. This is the back side of your flower.
Put some glue on the small peace of fabric. I use hot glue gun. Attach the big flower circle on it like this. Push the center of the fabric together slightly, this will give the petals some dimension.
Something like this is how the first layer should look.
Next step is to apply the smaller circle in the same way o top of the big one. Then ad a flower center of your choice, I used buttons from an old dress and made a smaller sized flower to. This is the end result:
Tip: cut petals from the jeans fabric with a pair of decorative edge scissors. Mist them with Evergreen Smooch spritz.
My next flower is made of three cotton fabric circles that I cut like this.
Then I used different colors of Donna Salazars ColorBoxMix´d Media Inx – Denim, Peridot, Chiffon.
When I was happy with the color I cut deaper v-shaped cuts in each circle like this.
And then I just followed the same procedure as with the jeans flowers.
My last flower is made of lots and lots of white tulle cicles.
Tip: By folding the tulle you can cut all the circles at the same time. After I cut the circles I misted them with Ice rink colored Smooch Spritz.
By holding the tuille close to a candle light it will crumple up a bit, and the edge will get harder. I did this to every circle.
Then I glued a couple of circles on to a piece of paper with hot glue gun, added layers until I was satisfied with the flower.
This is fabulous Monica!! I love how the flowers look, so professional.
