Hi! It´s Monika here, sharing a layout about my daughters first ride on a bike with two wheels. On this layout I wanted to put focus on the journaling as the story about her learning to bike is a special one – she simply decided that she could ride a bike without training wheels even though she had never ever tried, and as it turned out, she was right!!! We had our doubts, but luckily, we didn’t mention them so her.
I printed the journaling and the title on a white paper, but I thought that the white paper would have been to much of a contrast to the rest of the layout so I simply added a gray-ish background in Photoshop before I printed it. The paper I used is from an artist sketch book, most of them are acid free and archival safe.
The artistic papers are so versatile as you might have noticed from the previous entries in the blog this month. How ever I chose to leave it just as it is, as I went for the “less is more” look on this layout.
I love to cut the patterns of the papers, and Donnas lines are simply made for that!

Hello Everyone and Happy Day to you all. Today I've got a really exciting post for you with my creations for my Guest Designer Spot for Donna Salazar. I've adored Donnas products for quite some time and when I was asked to be a Guest Designer, I am pretty sure I "Inked". These papers are truly a dream to work with and I hope that my creations inspire you. I was originally going to create a few cards and an altered project, but after digging in, I just couldn't hold back. Those 3 projects turned into 9!!! Inspiration works like that though doesn't It?? And to say I was inspired by Donnas products would be an understatement. So here we go. First off the cards I created using the beautiful Spring in Bloom, Antiquities and Artistic Paper lines. The first card uses a little burlap and I've cut out the roses from the Artistic Papers. They are colored with Distress Inks and then a little Fairy Dust Glitter was added for that extra "WOW" (with a name like Fairy Dust, How could a fairy lover resist???)
The second card used the Antiquities collection, that wonderful Artistic Papers and Fairy Dust Glitter again. I jazzed up the one butterfly with a bit of Stickles to make her a little more "unique".
Now onto what was originally, my last project. I used the Crafty Chronicle to create this bangle. Adding some distress ink and Helmar Crackle Medium to really distress it. So So purdy. I really like how this one turned out, however the photos don't do it justice.
Now I couldn't stop there. Next came a set of 5 tags. I used a bunch of tidbits from The Crafty Chronicle. Quotes, images, and goodness abound!!! This first tag is made from the flower images on the first page of Crafty Chronicle and a good helping of Fairy Dust Glitter. I think it is my favorite...
Now onto the next four. All of these use Antiquities, Spring in Bloom and Crafty Chronicles goodness. Here they are...
Man I love this stuff. It just flows so easily and is truly top notch, when you look at quality. The colors are soft yet grungy, which I happen to LOVE LOVE LOVE, the images are perfect for the fussy cutter in me, and the Glitter is divine!!! Last, but certainly not least, is my favorite project of all. A 6 x 6 canvas created using bits and pieces from Crafty Chronicle, Antiquities and Spring In Bloom. I also did some stamping with the Fairy Dust Glitter and LOVE the look.
So there you have it. Thank you so so so very much Donna for giving me the opportunity to work with you wonderful paper collections. They are truly stunning!!! If you haven't used Donna Salazar products before, take a leap and try. You will be moved with inspiration I'm certain. Thanks for stopping by today. I hope you all have a very crafty day Toodles

For this FABULOUS layout, I used lots of Smooch Spritz. Let me share with you the colors that I got out to play - River Mossy, Caramel Latte, Green Olive, Pralines & Cream, Tea Party & Mixed Berries. Can you see I am having a "smooch-ing" party? Totally went to town for that background *wink*Posted at 12:10 AM | Permalink | Comments (7) | TrackBack (0)

I used Donna's Tea Party Smooch Spritz to do some masking with a doily behind the photo, and then I splattered just a few spots with the Sea Breeze Smooch Spritz. I also inked the distressed edges of my paper with the ColorBox Cat's Eye Fluid Chalk Ink in Creamy Brown, Chestnut Roan, and Charcoal. I also cut two of the decorative labels from Donna's Calendar Page from her Artistic Papers and used those behind each photo.

What comes to mind when you think summer? For me, it's not always the typical things like waterparks and sprinklers. It's the simple feeling of running barefoot through the soft grass. No worries. No time restrictions. Just the fun of being a kid and enjoying the world. I recently captured a few photos of my daughter, Ella as she was playing barefoot in our front yard. I just love how her hair is blowing in the breeze and she was loving every bit of it.
To keep with the soft & subtle colors of her outfit, I chose to use the Spring In Bloom line by Donna Salazar Designs for GCD Studios. Perfect for my photo!
I wanted to keep the design simple and knew that I wanted to use butterflies on it some where. By layering two Martha Stewart punches {one negative image & one postive image}, it created a fun embellishment and focal point.
Pull two of your favorite punches out today and give this easy layering technique a try!

Hi everyone!!! Natasha here to share another project using Donna Salazar's Antiquities Collection. I know I have said it before, but this line is fabulous! I adore the colors and design of each and every sheet. This time I used the Antiquities collection to alter a gorgeous clock.
This Ornate Wall Clock is manufactured by The Dusty Attic. It measures approximately 12"x20". The clock comes in layers so that each layer can be decorated separately.

Hey there . Hope you all are enjoying your summer. We have been swimming, eating ice cream, driving, enjoying the warm sun and travelling to new places. I always love the longer days and quiet nights as we sit outside unwinding from the days adventures! Steal some time away to get your artsy on this summer~! I put together a fun bright layout by layering these gorgeous papers from Donna Salazars Antiquities line mixed with some scraps from Pink Paislee and Simple Stories... I had fun cutting and spritzing and being artistic! Donna's muted, shabby tones blend perfectly with other manufacturers accents and patterns to create a fun layering of grungy goodness!
I used some Smooch Spritz in River Mossy to add this rich blue coloring to a paper doily and a light coat of it onto the Artistic paper journal tag.
Here you can see the layering of spritzed and distressed pattern papers. These dragon fly accents are by Spellbinders from the Fanciful Flight collection. They are also spritzed to keep the color scheme consistent . Add some Fairy Dust Glitter to give them a transluscent look. So I hope I"ve inspired you to squeeze some crafty time for yourself and try something new, play around and have fun this summer with your art!
