Hey peeps! It's Jessy here and I am back to show you another step-by-step layout tutorial using the fabulous Donna Salazar's collection called Antiquities Line. Also to share with you a technique that I often use on my layouts ie: "enhanching" technique. The fun part is that you use only 2 patterned papers. Interesting huh? Here we go...
First, you need to lay down three doilies on this awesome paper called "Tales of Travels" to do masking.
For masking, I used the Caramel Latte Smooch Spritz.
Next, I did some "Smooch" dripping by removing the nozzle. All you have to do is to "tap" the nozzle to let "Smooch" drip :) For this, I used the River Mossy Smooch Spritz.
Ta daa... this is the effect of masking and "Smooch" dripping.
While waiting for the layout to dry, I did fussy cutting on this paper - Steampunk Gentleman. Just cut the gentleman out like the photo above.
Then, the next thing you have to do is to "slice" open some parts of the paper by using craft knife.
When you are done, all you have to do is to slide the Steampunk Gentleman piece into the slice open part :) Lastly, embellish the layout with title, journaling and everything nice *wink*
Here's the finished layout! I dedicate this to my Papa Chris. He is a real gentleman and never fails to love his children! Papa is a good cook too. I am indeed blessed. I could never asked for more because he is the BEST!
Close-up shots:
To give dimension to your cut-outs, just use pop-dots!

Hope you like the "enhancing" technique that I did on this layout. Hope you'll try it out too :)
