Happy Father's Day! Today is the day that we celebrate men! Men of all ages... Grandpas, Fathers, and even sons (who will be or already are father's themselves) today is YOUR day. So go ahead and put up your feet, blast the sports channel all day long, eat your comfort foods and just relax!
For everyone else... Here is a quick tutorial on how to make the Butterfly embellishment above.
(you can make the sentiment say anything you'd like)
Spritz the Artistic Paper Journal Spot cut with the Lacey Ovals die set with water and Caramel Latte with Pralines & Cream Smooch Spritz.
Sprizt a section of the Crafty Chronicle with Wood Stain Smooch Spritz.
Cut the Chronicle so it is approximately 1 inch larger than the journal spot all the way around.
Ink the edges of the journal spot with Creamy Brown, Chestnut Roan and Dark Brown Chalk Ink. Ink the Chronicle oval with Dark Brown Chalk Ink.
Apply a generous amount of fast drying liquid glue (Designer Dries Clear from Art Glitter suggested) to 1/2 of the back of the journal spot.
Place the journal spot on the Chronicle oval and begin to squish the oval together to create ruffles along the edges.
Apply liquid glue to other half and continue making the ruffles.
Flatten by pressing on a hard surface.
Die Cut the large lacey butterfly using the Fanciful Flight die set and Blank Canvas Artistic Paper. Spritz with Mixed Berries Smooch Spritz.
Brush a layer of Glue Gloss over the top of the butterfly (1/4 at a time) and sprinkle with Mixed Berries Fairy Dust Glitter.
Emboss the large lacey butterfly without die cutting. Hand cut the outside edge of the butterfly. Spritz with River Mossy Smooch Spritz.
Dry the embossed butterfly then ink the edges and the top of the embossed butterfly with Chestnut Roan Chalk Ink.
Ink the edges of the embossed butterfly with watermark ink, sprinkle white embossing powder over the edges and heat set.
Cut thin strips from foam Squares and apply to center back of the lacey butterfly as shown.
Apply Glue Gloss and Fairy Dust Glitter to the edges of the Chronicle oval and adhere the left side of the butterfly to the journal spot using foam squares. You can add ANY sentiment you like using a Dymo labeler.
