I have made a new calendar and I just had to share! It only uses one of my new papers from the Winter Wishes line (it's like I spy... where is the new paper... lol), calendar pages from Pinecone Press, a couple Prima flowers, some denim (of course) and the rest is all Zutter. I just love their tools and products. They are such high quality so your projects can last FOREVER! Well... maybe not through a nuclear blast but definitely much sturdier than other products that I've used... lol.
Here is the cover... I sewed on some of C&T's vinyl to cover the embellies so that it can withstand any abuse that I give it. The flowers are from Prima... cuz nobody makes flowers better than they do! The denim is from an old pair of jeans (see photos of my scrap studio to see my crates filled with denim... lol). There will be a few ribbon collections included with my new line... but what I used it isn't much of a sneak peek... sorry.
I get so excited when I see my new logo! I've seen the proofs of the papers with the logos on it too!!!
The dictionary flower is a new Zutterized version. It was time to do an update on my flowers. I'll show a step by step with photos next week.
This is a close up of the Zutter Cover All. It has a "bamboo" finish so it looks like a vintage book. You can even give it a little bit of a faux leather look by adding some Ranger Distress inks (I used Frayed Burlap).
This is a photo of the Zutter rivets. I used the Pound it all to make the hole and set the rivets. I was very impressed with the fact that the tool was able to make it through the chiboard Cover All (which is VERY THICK) PLUS 2 layers of denim! I'll show some step out photos next week on this tool. My fingernails are covered in blue dye right now... and I didn't want to scare anyone!
These are the tabs. I just used a tab punch on some vintage books that I have and added some Dymo labels (another of my fave tools) for each month.
This is the monthly calendar page from Pinecone Press. I designed a weekly page for them... I'm not sure if it will be used but even if it isn't... I LOVE the way the weekly page turned out so I'm using it for my personal calendar no matter what. I'll show you the weekly page as soon as I get the okie dokie from Pinecone Press.
That is all for now. Thanks for stopping by! Hugs ~D~
