Some of you may already know that I work at Prima, not just as a PrimaDonna teaching all about the "Prima love" but in the actual office. Our office is located in Chino Hills, CA... yep... that is where the epicenter of the earthquake was the other day. I've never been afraid of earthquakes. When the Northridge earthquake hit, I was standing in my kitchen... well my parent's kitchen cuz I was still living at home. My entire family went running out of the house and I just stood in the kitchen looking out the slider door at the rose bushes swaying back and forth in the garden. It was a very strange feeling. And just in case you are wondering... I was far away from the door so if things started cracking I would have been safe still.
So on Tuesday... I was having a conversation with the owner of Prima when the earthquake hit. The first bang made her grab my arm. With the second bang came the death grip of my arm as she tried to steer me towards the stairs to get out of the building. I let her go down the stairs and calmly went to my desk to get my purse. The building must have really been shaking because there was all kinds of dust that was floating down from the ceiling. There were a few bottled flowers that fell off our shelves but there wasn't any damage. Thank goodness. It was really hard getting phone service to make sure everyone was okay but we all got in contact with each other and found out that everyone was okay.
The very next day was the Vendor fair for the Southern California Association of stores. I got to meet a lot of local stores and put faces with names. We were set up right next to My Mind's Eye so the boys (Jody and KC) kept us entertained.
This is KC when we were packing everything up... My son used to do this... when he was 4! This guy is such a nut! I wish I would have remembered to take my camera out a little more. After the show the Prima crew (Adam, Liz Hicks & I) went to Wing Stop with Jody and KC. If you have a Wing Stop near you... you must go and try the garlic parmesan wings... simply deeelishus! I took home some of the left-overs and was mauled when I walked in the door. I guess teenagers who have been swimming all day get a little hungry!
I've got a lot of new classes coming up! I'm actually almost completely booked through November now. I guess the word about how much Prima goodness comes in my class kits is getting out there! There has been a change to my class date for Scrapbook Oasis. I'll be teaching there on Friday night August 15th at 7:00 p.m.
I've got a lot of class samples to put together so I'll post some sneak peeks this weekend. My best friend, Tina, and her hubby are coming over Sunday after church. The girls are gonna scrapbook and the boys are gonna play video games... Sounds like heaven to me!!!
Thanks for stopping by! Hugs ~D~
