Wow!!! I feel so special. I can't believe how many birthday wishes I got from everyone. You are all SO AWESOME!!!
My sweet boss stopped by my messy house (I've been sick the past couple days... sucky timing... huh) and she dropped off a large amount of money so that I can go out to dinner with the fam (which I didn't feel good enough to do... sob) and this beautimus cake:
Me and the fam ordered some food (that could be delivered) but I didn't want the same ole', same ole'... so we tried a new place called Extreme Pizza. Their tagline is Extreme... not mainstream. We all got individual pizzas. My hubby got Yard Sale... it was LOADED with pretty much EVERYTHING, I got Adrenalin Rush (which is basically a BLT pizza), my daughter wasn't too adventurous so she got a regular pizza and we ordered an "extra" one called Pandora's box that had garlic, artichoke hearts, chicken & sage. My son had his first scrimmage game for Lacrosse today, so he had eaten pizza with the team already (we got the extra one for him just in case).
We all sampled each other's pizzas and I just have to say... we have found a new favorite restaurant. This pizza was AMAZING. So... yes my house is totally a mess because I don't have the energy to clean it right now and yes we didn't get to go out for my birthday... BUT I had a great birthday anyway.
My mom is a 5th grade teacher and she had her ENTIRE class sing happy birthday to me. I got a call from my dad, my aunt, my best friend, and both of my sisters. Then I talked on the phone again with my mom when she got home. So even if I had felt better... there wouldn't have been much time for cleaning with all the gabbing I was doing. So I ended up being sung to by my husband at the "butt-crack" of dawn before he left for work, my mom's class, my dad, my best friend and my sisters, I got to spend the night with my hubby and kids, I got to have some great new food, a beautiful and yummy birthday cake and nobody cared that the house was upside down. That sounds like a pretty good day to me!
And the fact that all of you were so flippin sweet... it just made me feel so good. All throughout the day today I heard my little e-mail chime sound and I got to read one happy birthday wish after another. Thanks so much for making my day a great one.
On a completely different note...
We have a new video up on Leah's blog: http://leahfung.typepad.com
I am showing everyone how to make this family tree layout:
Please go check it out and let me know what you think... I totally pull Leah out of her "comfort zone"... AGAIN and I have her ripping, tearing and scrunching and squishing... and not a ruler in site... lol.
And don't forget that I have those 7 spaces for pre-sign ups for my Prima Donna class available in my etsy shop. These first 7 people will get a handmade journal to celebrate my very first Prima class.
Thanks for stopping by! Hugs ~D~
